About Product Overview

The Milwaukee 2236-20 Clamp Meter is built for electricians who need reliable readings without babysitting the tool. It handles voltage up to 600V AC/DC and carries a CAT III 600V safety rating, so it's rated for the kind of panel and circuit work that shows up on real job sites. The 1.3 in. jaw opening fits comfortably around the conductors electricians deal with most, and the digital display keeps readings easy to read in low light or tight panel spaces.

Beyond voltage and current, this meter also measures contact temperature from -40 deg. F to 752 deg. F, useful for spotting overheating connections, motors, or HVAC components before they fail. A visual non-contact voltage detection (NCVD) indication lets you check for live circuits without touching a probe to a wire. Automatic shutoff conserves battery life between uses, and it runs on included AA batteries, so it's ready to work out of the box.
