About Product Overview

A fire escape ladder is one of those things you hope you never need and can't afford to be without. This First Alert model hooks into a window and drops down to reach a third-story escape, giving everyone in the household a way out if the stairs aren't an option. Built with steel rungs and a steel frame, it's rated to hold up to 375 pounds, which covers most adults with room to spare, and it's weather resistant so it won't seize up or corrode sitting in a closet or under a bed for years between emergencies.

It's a fixed-length ladder rather than telescoping, so once it's hooked and unrolled it's ready to climb - no extending or locking sections to fumble with when time matters. Keep it stored near the window it's meant for.
