About Product Overview

The Reliance RTM-160M-N is a natural gas tankless water heater built for households that don't want to wait around for hot water or run out of it mid-shower. With 160,000 BTUs of output and no tank to deplete, it delivers hot water on demand rather than storing a fixed supply that eventually runs cold. The low NOx burner keeps emissions in check while still putting out serious heating power, and Energy Star certification means that output doesn't come at the cost of wasted gas.

Installation runs on a 1/2-inch gas connection and 3/4-inch water connections at the bottom of the unit, with a 2- or 3-inch vent diameter giving some flexibility on venting setup. It runs on 120 volts and draws 5 amps, and it's rated for residential use at elevations up to 10,100 feet. Reliance backs it with a 15-year warranty, and CSA listing confirms it meets recognized safety standards for a gas appliance in the home.
