About Product Overview

The Flotec FP5172-08 is built for moving a lot of water fast when you're irrigating lawns, gardens, or larger sprinkler systems straight from a pond, lake, or storage tank. At 1-1/2 horsepower, it pushes up to 4,020 gallons per hour through a 1-1/2 inch discharge, giving you the volume needed to run multi-zone sprinkler setups without losing pressure.

The thermoplastic housing resists corrosion, which matters for a pump that's going to spend its life around water and outdoor conditions. It's self-priming, so you don't need to fill the line manually before startup, and the switchless design keeps things simple - wire it into your own control setup rather than fighting a built-in switch that doesn't fit your system. Dual voltage (115/230V) means it works with whatever service you've got available.

Rated for use between 35 and 140 degrees, and backed by CSA and UL compliance, this is a pump meant for real seasonal duty, not light occasional use. Good fit for homeowners with large properties or anyone drawing irrigation water from a private source.
