About Product Overview

This Selkirk ceiling support kit is the piece that carries the weight of your Class A chimney pipe where it passes through the ceiling, transferring the load to the framing instead of the pipe below. It's built for 6" insulated stainless steel chimney systems rated Type A and Type HT, so it handles the sustained heat of a wood stove or solid fuel appliance running at up to 1800°F continuous, with a 2100°F ceiling for short-term spikes. The adjustable design gives some flexibility during installation, and it's rated for chimney runs up to 50 feet, which covers most residential setups. UL Listed and suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, it's a component built to code rather than a shortcut around it. Boxed as a single unit, one per package.
