About Product Overview

Lodge builds this 10" skillet from carbon steel, a material that heats up fast and holds it well once it does - the same heavy-duty cooking action cast iron is known for, but in a lighter pan. It's a workhorse for searing, frying, and everyday stovetop cooking, and like any carbon steel pan it develops a natural seasoning with use rather than relying on a factory nonstick coating.

Because the handle gets hot right along with the pan, this set includes a silicone handle holder so you can grip and maneuver the skillet safely without reaching for a towel. The pan is made in the USA and comes carded, ready to season and put to work in your kitchen.
