About Product Overview

Lodge built this 6 quart camp oven for cooking over a real fire, not just a stovetop. It's a cast iron dutch oven from the Lodge Logic line, made to handle campfire coals, a grill grate, or a wood stove just as well as a kitchen burner. The thick cast iron walls hold heat evenly for stews, chili, cobblers, and campfire bread, and the deep 6 quart capacity is enough to feed a group around the fire.

Cast iron like this rewards a little care: it isn't dishwasher safe and the interior isn't nonstick, so plan on hand washing and keeping it seasoned. The handles aren't heat resistant either, so keep a pot holder or leather glove handy when you pull it off the coals. It's made in the USA and comes packaged in a box, ready to season and put to work.
