About Product Overview

Minwax Gel Stain in Aged Oak goes on thicker than traditional wood stains, so it stays put on vertical surfaces and doesn't drip or run while you work. The oil-based formula gives a semi-transparent brown finish that lets wood grain show through, and because it's a gel, it's more forgiving on furniture, doors, trim, and cabinets where blotchy or uneven stains are usually a problem. Apply with a brush, cloth, or foam applicator, and plan on about 6 hours before recoating. One quart covers roughly 200 square feet and works on indoor or outdoor wood projects.
