About Product Overview

ProLuxe's Log and Siding line is built for wood that takes a beating from sun, rain, and swings in temperature, and this Butternut transparent stain is formulated to protect it without hiding the grain. The oil-based acrylic/alkyd/urethane blend soaks in and cures to a satin finish that lets the natural wood character show through in a warm brown tone, while still doing the job of a sealer.

It's rated for seven years of durability outdoors, backed by UV resistance and water repellency to fight fading, cracking, and moisture damage on log homes, siding, fences, and other exterior wood. One gallon covers 400-500 square feet, and you can apply it by brush, pad, roller, or spray depending on the size of the job. Recoat within 24 hours and expect full cure in about a day, so you're not waiting around between coats or before the weather turns.
