About Product Overview

This Selkirk 8-inch ceiling support kit is the part that carries the real weight of a Class A chimney system, literally. It anchors the pipe at the ceiling penetration and supports the entire chimney run above it, so it's built to different standards than a section of pipe. This kit is rated for both Type A and Type HT applications and holds up to a maximum chimney length of 50 feet, with a maximum continuous temperature rating of 1800°F and a peak of 2100°F.

The insulated, stainless steel construction is UL Listed and rated for indoor and outdoor use, making it suitable for wood stoves and other solid-fuel appliances that run hot. Because it's adjustable, it accommodates variations in ceiling thickness and framing without requiring a custom fit.
