About Product Overview

The Wayne ESP25N is built as a submersible backup pump, stepping in when the primary system fails or when power drops out during a storm. It moves up to 2,500 gallons per hour at full output, though real-world performance against actual head height matters more - this pump delivers 1,680 GPH at 10 feet of lift and can push water up to 20 feet total head.

A cast iron housing helps the pump shed heat and hold up to years of submerged use, while the reed switch and preset 9-inch on / 4-inch off levels keep cycling consistent without a separate float arm to snag on debris. Top suction intake, a 1-1/2 inch discharge outlet, and an 8-foot cord round out a design meant to drop into an existing sump pit as a second line of defense.

  • 1/2 HP, 2,500 GPH maximum discharge flow
  • 1,680 GPH at 10 ft. of head; 20 ft. maximum head
  • Cast iron housing for durability
  • Reed switch with 9 in. on / 4 in. off levels
  • Top suction intake, 1-1/2 in. outlet, 8 ft. cord
  • UL listed; 2-year limited parts and labor warranty

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Wayne. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Shop Local · Support Independent

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
