Lodge built this 6-quart Dutch oven from solid cast iron, the kind of cookware that holds a steady, even heat through long braises, soups, and oven bakes. The blue finish comes from Lodge's Logic line, giving the classic cast iron workhorse a bit of color on the stovetop or table.
At 10.5 inches across, it has enough room for a family-sized pot roast or a batch of chili, and it moves easily between stovetop and oven for recipes that start with a sear and finish low and slow. It's dishwasher safe for easier cleanup, though the handles aren't heat resistant, so plan on pot holders when it comes out of the oven.
