Insl-X Fire Retardant Paint is a latex-based acrylic coating built to slow the spread of flame on interior surfaces, making it a smart choice for basements, mechanical rooms, stairwells, and any space where fire safety is part of the plan. The flat white finish goes on with a brush, roller, or airless sprayer, so it fits into whatever workflow you're already using, whether you're painting a single wall or covering a whole room.
Because it's water-based, cleanup is simple soap and water, and the low VOC level of 45 makes it a reasonable pick for occupied buildings or areas with limited ventilation. One gallon covers about 150 square feet, and it's rated for use on multiple surfaces, so it works across drywall, wood, and other common substrates found in interior construction and renovation work.
