Bosch built the GST18V-37N around a brushless motor, which means more runtime per battery charge and a longer tool life since there are no brushes to wear down over time. It's an 18V cordless jig saw with a T-shank blade clamp, so swapping blades is quick and doesn't require extra hardware or a specific Bosch blade type.
The 1-inch stroke length gives it enough bite for cutting through thicker stock, and variable speed control lets you dial in the right pace for the material - slow and controlled for tight curves in hardwood, faster for rough cuts in framing lumber. A built-in dust blower clears sawdust from the cut line as you work, so you can actually see the pencil line you're following instead of guessing.
