About Product Overview

STABILA built the Type 96 M as a working level for tasks where precision can't slip, and the 24-inch aluminum frame gives you a rigid, true reference edge for framing, cabinet installs, and general layout work. The magnetic edge lets you set it on steel studs, ductwork, or angle iron and keep both hands free while you mark or adjust, which matters when you're working solo.

Three vials cover level, plumb, and 45-degree readings, and STABILA holds the line to 1/32-inch accuracy, so the readings you get are ones you can trust on finish carpentry as well as rough framing. The yellow aluminum body is easy to spot on a job site full of tools, and made in Germany, it's built to the tolerances that carpenters and tradespeople rely on daily.
