About Product Overview

Simpson Strong-Tie's APVB44 adjustable post base gives you room to fine-tune post placement after the concrete's already down - a real advantage on deck and post-frame jobs where dead-on layout isn't always possible. Made from 16-gauge steel and part of the OA Avant Collection, it anchors a 4x4 post to a concrete footing or slab while holding the post base above grade to keep wood away from standing water and speed up drying after rain. The adjustability lets you square up posts to the structure even when anchor bolts land a little off.
