About Product Overview

This is a boxed pack of acorn nuts from Hillman, sized 5/16" with a coarse SAE thread. Acorn nuts (also called cap nuts) have a domed top that covers the bolt end, so there's no exposed threading to catch fabric, skin, or cause rust streaks over time. That domed profile also gives fasteners a cleaner, more finished look wherever the nut will be visible.

Made from stainless steel, this nut resists corrosion better than standard zinc-plated hardware, which makes it a solid choice for outdoor furniture, railings, marine-adjacent projects, or anywhere moisture is a concern. The coarse thread pitch is the standard choice for general-purpose fastening and pairs with a 5/16" SAE bolt or stud.
