Varathane's Stain/Poly in Kona cuts a two-step finishing job down to one. This water-based formula combines stain and an acrylic-modified urethane topcoat in a single product, so you get color and protection without waiting to switch cans. It's built for indoor wood projects and lays down a semi-gloss sheen once dry.
Because it's one-step, recoat time is fast, and a quart covers a decent-sized project. Apply with a brush or foam applicator and you're done in fewer passes than traditional stain-then-seal methods.
