These are Bostitch StrapShot metal connector nails, built specifically for driving into joist hangers, hurricane ties, straps, and other structural metal connectors on framing and decking jobs. The 11-gauge steel shank and .131" diameter give these nails the bulk needed to bite into metal connectors without bending, while the diamond point helps them start clean and drive straight through tough gauge steel and dense lumber alike.
At 1-1/2" long, they're sized for the connector applications where over-length fasteners would blow through or split framing. The full round head seats flush and holds against the connector face for a solid mechanical bond, and the smooth shank allows for easy, consistent driving without excess resistance. Nails are paper collated in straight strips at a 35-degree angle for compatible pneumatic strip nailers, and packaged 1,000 to a box for framing crews and decking contractors running through fasteners on a regular basis.
