The WSV is Simpson Strong-Tie's Strong-Drive subfloor screw, built to pull down squeaks and keep subfloor panels tight to the joists for the long haul. The #9 x 2" size in this box is sized for standard subfloor thicknesses, and the high/low thread design bites into both the panel and the framing member to resist the back-and-forth stress that causes floors to loosen up over time.
