This Smith's sharpener puts two grits on one stone, so you can go from repair to polish without switching tools. One side is a 400-grit Arkansas/synthetic blend for reshaping a dull or nicked edge; flip it over to the 1000-grit fine side to refine that edge to a working sharpness.
