About Product Overview

This 50/50 tin/lead solder from Forney is a solid wire type built for general soldering work, from copper pipe joints to metal repairs. The 50/50 alloy melts at 421 degrees, giving you a working range that's forgiving for hand-torch or iron work where you need the joint to flow evenly before it sets.

Each spool holds 16 ounces, enough to get through a repair job or several smaller projects without running dry mid-task. Note this is not a lead-free formula, so it's suited for jobs where lead-free isn't required by code.
