About Product Overview

This IRWIN Speedbor Max set puts three self-feed auger bits in one clamshell pack, built for boring clean holes through studs, joists, and other framing lumber. Self-feed bits use a lead screw that pulls the bit forward as it cuts, so you're not leaning your full weight into the drill to get through the wood. That makes quick work of the holes electricians and plumbers cut for wiring and pipe runs.

Each bit has a quick-change hex shank, so you can pull one out and drop in the next without hunting for a chuck key or fully loosening the chuck. The steel construction holds an edge through repeated use on framing lumber, and having three sizes in one case means you're not digging through a drawer of loose bits to find the one you need.
