The Wayne RPP50 handles what a regular sump pump can't: solid waste. Built around a 1/2 HP motor and a cast iron housing, it's designed to move sewage and effluent out of basins where 2-inch solids are part of the job, not the exception. That cast iron construction helps the pump dissipate heat and hold up to continuous demands better than plastic housings.
It runs on a tethered float switch that turns the pump on at 16 inches and off at 5 inches, so it cycles automatically as the pit fills, no manual monitoring needed. At the discharge end, a 2-inch pipe connection keeps flow moving even with debris in the mix. Output tapers with lift, as it should with any pump, ranging from 6200 GPH at zero feet of head down to 1500 GPH at 15 feet, so it's worth sizing against your actual vertical run. It's CSA certified and backed by a 1-year warranty, and it fits basins at least 18 inches in diameter.

You're going to price-check us against Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe's. Everybody does. Good — open all three tabs. We'll wait. Then look hard at what you're actually being handed over there.
On Amazon, start with these four questions before you click buy.
The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.
Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Wayne. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.
Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe's are built to pull every hardware dollar out of your town. When the local shop can't keep the lights on, the counter where somebody actually knew which part you needed goes with it. We're built the other way: real brands so you're never stuck on a marketplace, and a straight answer to buy it down the street when that's the better call. Support independent hardware — it doesn't restock itself.

When something's better bought down the street, we'll tell you — and point you to a local store that stocks it. We list independent retailers at no cost to most of them. We're not a marketplace, not a chain, not a faceless warehouse.
We come from the hardware world — the people answering your questions know the products, not just a script. Questions about fit, compatibility, or what a job actually calls for? You'll reach a real person, not a chatbot or a contracted call center.
The world's fast and convenient now, and it's only getting faster — same-day, next-hour, a screen where a face used to be. That's not going away, and we're not pretending it should. We live here too. We can move when you need us — most orders land in under two business days.
But the store on the corner probably has it on the shelf right now. And it was never only about speed. It's the person who knows the product and knows your name. It's what that store puts back into the town — the people it hires, the team it sponsors, the neighbor it shows up for. That's the part a warehouse can't ship.
These places have anchored their communities for generations. Keeping them around for the next two hundred and fifty years matters more than any single sale — ours included. So we'll be the convenient option when you need one, and we'll point you local whenever it makes sense. If it's better bought down the street, we'll say so.
If you're rooting for a handful of giant corporations to swallow every small store on Main Street — we'll be straight with you: we're not your shop. And that's alright. We were never trying to be everyone's.
We support local hardware stores.
We don't replace them.
