About Product Overview

The Ariens Edge 42" puts a true zero-turn radius behind a 42-inch steel deck, built for the 1-2 acre yard where a lawn tractor feels slow and a push mower feels endless. A Briggs & Stratton engine with 656cc of displacement drives the hydrostatic transmission through rear-wheel drive, with top speeds of 6 mph forward and 3 mph in reverse - and yes, this one mows in reverse too, so you're not wasting passes backing up around trees and beds.

Two blades handle the cutting, with a height range from 1.5 to 4.5 inches so you can dial in the cut for your grass type and season. It's built to switch between side discharge, bagging, and mulching depending on what the yard needs that week. Front wheels measure 11 inches and rear wheels 20 inches for stability on turns, and the whole machine is assembled in the USA.
