About Product Overview

CertainTeed MemBrain is a smart air barrier and vapor retarder membrane built for attics and walls, where controlling moisture matters as much as blocking drafts. Unlike a fixed poly vapor barrier, MemBrain is engineered to respond to humidity, which is why CertainTeed classifies it as both an air barrier and a smart vapor retarder rather than a standard poly sheet. Each roll runs 9 feet wide by 100 feet long, covering roughly 933 square feet, so one roll handles a good-sized wall or ceiling section before you need to break out a second. It's formaldehyde free, which matters for indoor air quality in tight, well-sealed assemblies.
