About Product Overview

The Makita XAG04Z brings cordless freedom to a 5-inch angle grinder without giving up the power you'd expect from a corded tool. Built on the 18V LXT platform, it's designed for cutting, grinding, and surface prep where running a cord isn't practical - job sites, fabrication work, metal cutting, and general shop use. The brushless motor spins the wheel up to 8,500 RPM and helps the tool run cooler and last longer between services, since there are no brushes to wear out.

A slide switch gives you simple on/off control, and the spindle lock makes wheel changes quick instead of a wrestling match. At 5.6 lbs and 14-1/4 inches long, it's balanced for one-handed grinding and easier to maneuver in tight spots than bulkier corded models. This is the bare tool only - no battery or charger included - so it's built for anyone already running the Makita 18V LXT system. A grinding wheel is included to get you started, and Makita backs it with a 3-year limited warranty.
