About Product Overview

OSI SC175 insulating sealant is built for sealing gaps where sound, drafts, and smoke need to be stopped cold. It's a synthetic rubber acoustical sealant made for perimeter joints, floor and ceiling runners, cutouts in gypsum board, and veneer plaster systems, exactly where a sound-rated assembly matters. Stays permanently flexible so it won't crack as the building shifts, and it takes paint if you need a clean finish. One 28 oz cartridge covers roughly 38 to 86 square feet depending on bead size, and cleanup is just soap and water.
