About Product Overview

When a battery's too far gone for a trickle charge to fix, the Schumacher BATRY CHR/ENG START 200A steps in with 200 amps of engine-starting power. It's built as a combination battery charger and engine starter, so it handles both the routine job of charging a deep cycle lead acid battery and the emergency job of jump-starting a car that won't turn over.

It's mounted on wheels rather than built as a handheld unit, which makes sense given its weight - this is a unit you roll out to the vehicle, not one you carry. Operation is manual, so you're setting the charge yourself rather than relying on automatic shutoff or built-in battery testing. The 12-foot cord gives you some reach to work around the engine bay, and the whole thing runs on standard 120-volt household power.
