About Product Overview

This 6" round top dome caps off a Type HT chimney system with a rated cover built to handle serious heat—up to 1000°F continuous and spikes to 2100°F. That HT rating matters if you're venting a wood stove, fireplace insert, or other solid-fuel appliance where flue gases run hotter than a standard gas vent. Selkirk builds it from 28-gauge stainless steel with a corrugated profile, so it holds its shape and resists corrosion through years of freeze-thaw cycles and exposure on the roofline. It's UL listed, which means it's been tested against the standards that inspectors and code officials look for on Class A chimney installations. The dome design sheds rain and snow away from the pipe opening while still allowing proper draft, and it's sized to match 6" diameter Class A pipe and fitting systems. Made in the USA and shipped boxed, it's a straightforward component for anyone finishing out or repairing a residential chimney stack.
