The Wayne PC1 runs on 12-volt DC power instead of standard household current, which makes it useful when you need to move water but don't have an AC outlet nearby - think flooded basements during a power outage, water beds, aquariums, or boats. Just hook it to a 12V battery and it self-primes, so you're not stuck priming it by hand before it starts pulling water. The chrome plated bronze housing resists corrosion, and the switchless design means manual on/off control without a float switch to fail or get hung up. At 1/8 HP it moves up to 350 gallons per hour at the outlet, tapering to 200 GPH at 20 feet of head, which is its maximum lift. A 3/4-inch discharge fitting works with standard garden hose, and it's built to handle water between 40 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
