About Product Overview

The Turbine BS 14" Mill vent from Air Vent's Air Hawk line uses wind, not electricity, to pull hot, stale air out of your attic. As outside air moves across the roof, the turbine head spins and draws air up and out through its vents, working harder as the wind picks up and keeping steady airflow even on calm days.

Built from aluminum in a mill finish, it's made to handle sun and weather without paint or stain. It fits roofs from a 3/12 to a 12/12 pitch, so it works on everything from a low-slope ranch to a steep-pitched two-story. With 132 square inches of net free area, it moves a real volume of air per unit installed, which matters when you're figuring out how many vents your attic needs. Note that it doesn't come with a bird screen or wildlife guard, so plan for that separately if pests are a concern in your area.
