About Product Overview

KILZ Premium is a water-based stain-blocking primer built for jobs where you need one product to handle whatever the wall throws at you. It goes down on all surfaces, indoors or out, and locks in stains before topcoat paint goes on - saving you a callback for bleed-through down the road. This 5-gallon container covers 1,500 to 2,000 square feet, enough for a whole-house repaint or several rooms without running back to the store mid-project.

Low VOC and low odor make it workable in occupied homes, and cleanup is just soap and water. It's tintable, so it matches up with your topcoat instead of fighting it, and the mildew-resistant finish holds up in bathrooms, basements, and other damp spots. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer, recoat in as little as an hour, and expect full cure in about a week. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
