About Product Overview

This is Southwire's 12/2 Romex Type NM-B with ground, the standard cable electricians reach for on 20-amp residential and light commercial circuits. The yellow jacket makes it easy to spot 12-gauge runs at a glance, which matters when you're tracing wire in a panel or wall cavity down the road. Solid copper conductors carry the circuit and ground, wrapped in a flame-retardant nylon jacket rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees, giving you a wide margin of safety in typical indoor installations.

Use it for kitchen circuits, dedicated appliance runs, workshop outlets, or any 20-amp indoor job that calls for 12/2 with ground. It's not rated for wet locations or direct burial, so keep it inside walls and dry conduit runs where it belongs.
