About Product Overview

This 50-foot coil of Southwire 10/2 Romex is the wire electricians reach for when a circuit needs to carry 30 amps safely - think electric water heaters, some window AC units, or dedicated 220/240V-adjacent branch circuits where 10-gauge copper is called for. The orange jacket color-codes it at a glance as 10-gauge, which makes it easy to sort on a truck or in a panel full of mixed wire runs.

Type NM-B construction means it's built for indoor residential and light commercial branch wiring, run through wall cavities, floor joists, and framing. Solid copper conductors keep resistance low and terminations secure, while the PVC insulation over a nylon jacket adds flame retardance and a 90°C temperature rating for a margin of safety under load. It's UL Listed, so it meets code requirements inspectors are checking for.
