About Product Overview

This is Southwire's 10/3 UF-B underground feeder cable, built for circuits that run outside or below grade where standard NM cable isn't rated to go. With three 10-gauge solid copper conductors including a ground, it handles 30-amp, 600-volt applications like sheds, detached garages, well pumps, or outdoor subpanels. The direct burial rating means you can put it straight in the ground without conduit in most cases, and the PVC insulation over a nylon jacket stands up to sunlight, moisture, and the general abuse of outdoor installs.

Rated to 90°C, this cable gives installers some breathing room on ampacity calculations and works fine in either wet or dry, indoor or outdoor locations. It's UL listed and flame retardant, so it meets code requirements electricians actually check for. The 50-foot length is a practical run for most detached structure projects without leftover waste.
