About Product Overview

TWP 1500 Series Wood Preservative in Cedartone is a semi-transparent, oil-based finish built for outdoor wood that takes a beating from sun and weather. It soaks into decks, fences, siding, and other exterior wood surfaces, laying down a flat, low-sheen color while still letting the wood grain show through. The oil base penetrates deep rather than sitting on top like paint, which is why TWP backs it with UV resistance and water repellency to help fight fading, cracking, and moisture damage over time.

This 5-gallon container covers a wide range depending on how porous or weathered the wood is, and it's made to be applied with a brush, roller, or sprayer, so it fits whatever tools you already have on hand. Expect a rated durability of around 3 years before you'll need to recoat, with recoat and cure times fast enough to keep a project moving without waiting around for days.
