The closed-cell polyethylene foam carries an R value of 2.7 and handles a wide temperature range, from -297°F up to 200°F, so it holds up whether you're wrapping a chilled line or a hot water pipe. It's semi-slit for easier installation over existing pipe runs, though it's not self-sealing, so you'll want tape or adhesive to close the seam.
