About Product Overview

The Bosch Colt PR20EVS is a palm router built for detail work—edge profiles, trim, hinge mortises, and template routing where a full-size router is more tool than the job needs. At 3.3 lbs and sized to grip in one hand, it gives you close control right over the bit, and the 1/4" collet covers the bit sizes most trim and edge work calls for.

Variable speed up to 35,000 RPM lets you match the cutter to the material, and the fixed base includes depth adjustment so you can dial in consistent cuts pass after pass. A spindle lock makes bit changes faster and safer, and since the base is compatible with other Bosch Colt bases, this fixed base can serve as one part of a larger palm router setup if you add on later. Sold as tool only, no case included.

Go ahead. Check.

You're going to open the other tab. Everybody does. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise — so open it. We'll wait.

When you're over there, check four things before you click buy.

01

Who's actually selling it

The brand name is on the listing. A different company is in the seller field. Those aren't the same thing, and the second one is who you're buying from.

02

Whether the warranty survives

Most manufacturers only honor a warranty when the unit came through an authorized dealer. We're authorized for Bosch. A third-party marketplace seller usually isn't.

03

Where the box came from

Gray-market stock, returns repackaged as new, and outright fakes move through marketplaces constantly. It all looks identical in the photo. It stops looking identical when it fails.

04

Who you call when it breaks

Ours is a phone number with a person behind it who has held this product. M–F, 6 AM – 5 PM Pacific. (866) 469-8556

We're not always the cheapest.

Sometimes you'll find it for less. Sometimes you'll find it for more. On a lot of brands the number is identical everywhere it's sold legitimately — the manufacturer sets a minimum advertised price and every authorized dealer holds it. When a price sits well under that, it's worth asking why before it's worth celebrating.

Shop Local · Support Independent

Every order helps keep your local hardware store on the corner.

Why we built NHG
You might find it for less locally. Independent retailers often offer competitive pricing — some products are even cheaper in-store than online.
Real expert advice — not search results. Independent hardware staff know their inventory and the local conditions you're working in.
Keep the neighborhood working. Every dollar spent at an independent retailer returns roughly 3x more to your local economy than at a national chain.
