Bosch built the GOP40-30B around its StarlockPlus accessory system, which means the blade and pad you clamp in stay put through hard, repetitive cuts instead of walking loose. The 4-amp motor is brushless, so you get more consistent power and a longer-lasting tool with less heat buildup than a brushed motor running the same job. Speed runs up to 20,000 OPM with variable speed control, so you can dial back for delicate flush cuts or open it up for faster material removal on trim, drywall, or grout.
A built-in LED lights up the cut line, which matters most on oscillating work where the blade sits close to the surface and shadows hide your mark. This is a corded kit, so runtime isn't a concern, and the tool ships with a case to keep blades and accessories together on the truck or in the shop. At 3.3 pounds for the tool itself, it's light enough for extended work overhead or in tight corners.
