About Product Overview

Cabot Australian Timber Oil is a penetrating alkyd formula that soaks into wood fiber rather than sitting on top, so it seals and protects without hiding the grain. In Natural, it lays down a transparent, brown-toned finish that lets the wood's own character show through while building in real weather resistance. It's built for decks, railings, siding, and outdoor furniture that take a beating from sun and rain year-round.

The oil base combines UV resistance with water repellency, so boards stay protected from graying, cracking, and moisture damage for one to four years before a recoat is needed. It's a low-VOC formula, so it's easier to work with indoors or out without heavy fumes, and it goes down with a brush, pad, or sprayer depending on the size of the job. Each 5-gallon container covers a wide enough area to handle a full deck or a long stretch of siding in one go.
