About Product Overview

Cabot Australian Timber Oil is a penetrating oil formula built for exterior wood that takes a beating from sun, rain, and foot traffic. Unlike a film-forming stain that sits on top of the wood and eventually peels, this oil-based sealer soaks into the grain to seal, protect, and enhance the wood from within - which is why it's a go-to for decks, railings, siding, and outdoor furniture that need real weather protection, not just surface color.

This 5-gallon container comes in Jarrah Brown, a rich transparent tone that lets the natural wood grain show through rather than masking it. It's UV resistant and water repellent to help fight fading and moisture damage, and one container covers a wide range depending on the wood's porosity and your application method - brush, pad, or spray all work. Expect 1 to 4 years of durability before a recoat is needed, with a 48-hour window before recoating and full cure.
