About Product Overview

Cabot Australian Timber Oil is a penetrating oil finish built for wood that takes a beating from weather and foot traffic. Unlike a film-forming stain that sits on top of the wood, this oil-based formula soaks into the grain to seal and protect from the inside out, letting the natural color and texture of the wood show through in a transparent, Natural finish.

It's suited for decks, outdoor furniture, railings, and siding, and it goes on with a brush, pad, or sprayer. One 5-gallon container covers 1,250 to 3,000 square feet depending on how porous the wood is, and it holds up for 1 to 4 years before you'll need to recoat. Once applied, plan on 48 hours before recoating and 48 hours to full cure.
