About Product Overview

CertainTeed's MemBrain is a smart vapor retarder, meaning it doesn't just block moisture in one direction the way traditional poly sheeting does. It adjusts its permeability with humidity levels, so it slows vapor drive in winter but allows a wall or attic assembly to dry out when conditions shift with the seasons. That's a real advantage in mixed-humidity climates where trapped moisture behind a static vapor barrier can lead to mold or rot over time.

This 10' x 100' roll covers just over 1,000 square feet, enough for a good-sized renovation or new build without much waste. It's formaldehyde free, which matters for indoor air quality, and it's built for use in both attics and wall cavities as part of a complete air barrier system. Made in the USA.
