The steel construction holds up to 40 lbs, enough for most bicycles, and the vinyl coating keeps the finish from scratching frames or tires as they hang. At 8.5 inches long with a 6.14-inch projection, it gives enough clearance to hang a bike by the wheel or frame in a garage or basement.
