About Product Overview

The DEWALT DW734 handles full-width boards up to 12-1/2 inches, which covers most of what a serious woodworker or trim carpenter runs through a benchtop planer. The 15-amp motor spins the three-knife cutter head up to 20,000 RPM for 18,000 cuts per minute, so you get a smooth, consistent finish instead of chatter marks that mean more sanding later. A depth of cut up to 1/8" lets you take down rough lumber fast without choking the motor, and the depth adjustment gives you control when you need to fine-tune for final passes.

At 80 lbs, this is a stationary shop tool, not something you're tossing in a truck bed daily, but it's built to live on a bench or stand and handle repeat use.
