About Product Overview

DeWalt's ATOMIC line is built for tradespeople who need real grinder power without the bulk of a full-size tool, and the DCG402B 4-1/2" angle grinder delivers on that with a brushless motor spinning up to 11,000 RPM. At 10.5 inches long and just 3.4 pounds (tool only), it's compact enough for overhead work and tight spaces, but it still handles cutting, grinding, and surface prep tasks that come up on metal fabrication, welding cleanup, and general job site work.

Runs on DeWalt's 20V MAX battery platform (sold separately), and the paddle switch gives you intuitive on/off control that's easy to manage one-handed. A spindle lock makes wheel changes faster, and the 5/8-11 spindle size works with standard grinding wheels - one is included to get you started. Brushless motor construction means less maintenance and longer tool life compared to brushed alternatives. Backed by DeWalt's 3-year limited warranty.
