It runs on the 20V MAX XR platform with a brushless motor, which means more runtime per charge and a longer life on the tool itself compared to brushed designs. At 5500 RPM, the 7-1/4" blade cuts a maximum depth of 2-5/8" at 90 degrees, enough for the metal stock most tradespeople deal with on framing and HVAC jobs.

The left-side blade gives a clear sightline to the cut line, and the electric brake stops the blade quickly once you release the trigger, which matters when you're moving fast between cuts.
