About Product Overview

DEWALT built the DCS384B around a brushless motor, which means more runtime per charge and a longer service life since there are no brushes to wear out over years of demo work, remodeling, or job site cutting. At 3000 strokes per minute with a 1-1/8" stroke length, it clears material fast without bogging down in dense stock.

The variable speed trigger lets you dial back power for controlled plunge cuts or open it up for straight-through cutting, and the keyless blade change means you can swap blades between wood, metal, or PVC cuts without tools or lost time. The adjustable shoe helps you control cut depth and gives you a stable reference point against the material, which matters when you're working one-handed on a ladder or in tight framing bays. At 7.6 lbs, it's light enough to run overhead without fatigue setting in.
