About Product Overview

The DW317 is DeWalt's 5.5-amp orbital jig saw, built for anyone cutting curves, notches, and straight lines in wood, metal, or plastic on a regular basis. A 1-inch stroke length paired with 3,100 strokes per minute keeps cutting fast without bogging down, and variable speed control lets you dial things back for delicate work or tighter curves.

Four orbital action settings give you real control over cut aggressiveness and finish quality - crank it up for fast rough cuts, or dial it down for clean edges on finish work. The keyless blade clamp takes U and T shank blades, so swapping between blade types is quick and doesn't require tools. A 45-degree bevel capacity handles angled cuts, and the adjustable shoe helps keep the saw steady as you work. The lock-on switch is a nice touch for long cutting sessions - no need to keep a death grip on the trigger.
